Hyperion - Trouble Shooting Steps [AI Compatible]Updated 11 days ago
If you are experiencing either of the following issues with your Hyperion Holster, this guide will provide troubleshooting tips as a means of resolution.
• The firearm is seated and is too loose
• The firearm's optic is hitting the rubber grommet
• The firearm does not draw consistently
1. The firearm is seated and is too loose:
If the firearm is seated fully in the Hyperion holster and it is not providing a level of retention that is preferred, a smaller (less wide) rubber grommet can be provided. This will reduce the amount of space inside the holster. Please reach out to Customer Service to be provided the smaller grommet (information provided below).
To replace the rubber grommet with the smaller rubber grommet:
First confirm that the firearm is unloaded and clear of all ammunition. With a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the retention screw closest to the optic until the screw is removed from the flat head rivet cap. Always adjust these retention screws on your Hyperion Holster from the rear of your holster, using the Phillip's head.
Next, remove the rubber grommet from the Hyperion Holster, and save for possible future use.
Then place the shorter rubber grommet in the same place and tighten the Phillip's screw back into the flat head rivet cap until snug. You may need to loosen the Phillip's retention screw to adjust and find the most optimal fitment for the firearm and optic before tightening the retention screw(s) to the preferred retention.
