How the Retention Clip worksUpdated a month ago
An inside look at Urban Carry Holsters' Retention system
The LockLeather and Urban Carry G3 retention clip is something you will not find anywhere else, and is completely original. It is safe, simple, secure, and effective. Let's let the retention clip speak for itself.
As you can see, the LockLeather and Urban Carry G3 retention clip is not made up of many moving parts, and is not a complex locking system. It's something we all look at and think "Why didn't I think of that!" The LockLeather and Urban Carry G3 retention clip is comprised of a couple key parts. The Feed ramp (green), the backstop teeth (blue), and the retention adjustment screw / bolt (yellow):

The Safety and Security of kydex with the comfort and durability of premium leather
Once your handgun is holstered, the front of the trigger guard will slide into the retention clip, being forced down the feed ramp (green), stopping at the Backstop "teeth" (blue). The space in between these two areas is a cavity where your trigger guard stays "locked" into your holster by means of the retention that can be adjusted with a Phillip's screwdriver. If somehow the trigger guard is FORCED past the backstop teeth (blue) your trigger guard will hit the retention screw bolt (yellow), and will be unable to progress further. We can't stress enough not to remove the retention screw from your LockLeather or Urban Carry G3 holster for safety reasons.
